A2 Follow Your Gift or Your Passion?

Sometimes in serving, it can be difficult to decide what to take on and what not to. One may feel a passion in a certain area of serving, while having a gift in another. Whether to pursue our passion or our gift from God is something we will learn in this workshop. Speaker is Rev. Lawrence Fung in Cantonese.

A3 Be A Blessing in the Workplace

What is our role in the workplace? Apostle Paul said that we are ambassadors for Christ. In this workshop, we will talk about how the Bible wants us to live as who we are in Christ. Speaker is Kaho Jim in Cantonese.

B2 Can I Lose My Salvation?

At one point in every Christian's life, we question whether or not we are saved. What is the biblical perspective on salvation? Once you become a believer, can you lose your salvation? Come and join us to learn about different perspectives on the assurance of salvation! Speaker is George Shen in Cantonese.

B3 How to Keep Seekers Engaged at Church

People of different backgrounds go to church looking to learn more about Jesus. How can we challenge and encourage them to continue their search for Christ? Come and learn different ways we can make church life relevant and engaging to seekers. Speaker is Maurice Yu in Cantonese.

C1 The Making of a Leader

Contrary to the common notion, most people think that a title is required for one to be a leader. However, according the biblical leadership master teacher Dr. J. Robert Clinton, "Leadership is a dynamic process in which a man or woman with God-given capacity influences a specific group of God’s people toward His purpose for the group." This workshop will explore the five stages of a leader’s life-long development. We will focus on what God’s purpose upon us is; what our God-given capacity is and see how one’s inner life growth will affect one’s life time ministry. This workshop is for all those emerging leaders that want to be faithful to the Lord not just for a short endeavor but their whole life. Speaker is Ken Law in Cantonese.

C2 Can I Be the True “Me” in Church?

Sometimes, we feel like we have to act a certain way in church because of other's expectations of us. It is difficult to be fully honest in church, but the Bible teaches us to speak truth in love. In this workshop, we will talk about how the Bible wants us to live as who we are in Christ. Speaker is Kaho Jim in English.

C3 Evangelism in Everyday Life

God commands us to proclaim His name and make known what He has done among the nations. As Christians, we are commanded to fulfill the Great Commission. No matter where we are or what we do, how do we direct others around us towards God? Speaker is Ken Fong in English.

A 3rd generation Chinese American, Ken was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. He graduated from UC Berkeley in 1976 with a degree in biology. After graduating, he served as youth director for two years at First Chinese Baptist Church (Sacto), his home church. After a year as an M.Div. student at the American B aptist Seminary of the West (Berkeley), he felt led to transfer to Fuller Theological Seminary, graduating in 1981, and then again in 1990 with his D.Min. in Asian American church growth. He bravely pioneered several cutting edge ministries, not the least of which was to extend God’s kingdom-hospitality to AAPI Christians who identify as LGBTQ. He retired in July 2017 from pastoring, but continues to teach as an affiliate associate professor of Asian American church studies at Fuller.
